it's been busy around here! i have pics to share, but first,

THIS SATURDAY (9/26) I will be in NORMAL HEIGHTS for the Adams Avenue Street Fair. I will be selling dainty*s in front of the rare hare studio! come stop by & say hello if you're in the area! i love the street fair and am excited to be a part of it this year!!!

the first pictures that i have to share are from this past weekend at the SD Polo Club ... i had a little table. my friend, carrie, who works as a visual merchandiser for z gallerie helped set up my little table with some of the new display items i bought (she bought the vase & tree from z gal), the frames & mirror & silver lotus flower looking things are from marshalls.

this past friday i was up in anaheim at the house of blues for the g.love and special sauce show. the band that i work for, brodeeva, has co-written & recorded with g.love, so when g is in town a lot of times he invites brodeeva to play with him. this is the second time in a few months that i've had the privelage to be part of it, and we all had a great time. this first pic is brodeeva, me, gina (chad of brodeeva's wife) and g. i wore the black & cream striped dainty* (which is THE original dainty*)

an afternoon visit to HENNING!

hi!

this afternoon i went to visit tijen at HENNING. she picked out some super cute dainty*s to feature in her shop! i am SO very excited & honored to have my headbands along side her beautiful handmade clothing. her work is STUNNING (as i've posted about before here) ... well, i thought i'd show you a two new dresses from her shop (i saw them today in person, and all i can say is BEAUTIFULLLLLL).





HENNING is located at 349 North Highway 101 in Solana Beach. You should go check it out (and tell Tijen i say hi, hehe) ....

anyway, Tijen picked out some awesome headbands that go with the vibe of HENNING. lots of soft neutrals, feathers, vintage pieces & awesome textures. i am totally loving the mix of them together & hope her customers find them just as delightful as i do!

i'm hoping once i deliver the rest of the bunch Tijen will take some pics of them in the shop for me to post! keep your eyes peeled!

a lovely package arrived at my door!

first, my cute cute pink blackberry (yes, i'm a dork):


postcards! the fabulous postcards that i ordered from overnightprints.com (and were designed by kate daigneault) arrived (logo designed by acacia betancourt). for some reason the other pictures kept loading sideways & every time i re-save them they still show up that way on blogspot, so i'm only sharing this picture for now. when i have more patience i will figure this out & post the others ... the first pic is the back of them, and the second picture is one of the designs!



through overnightprints.com i got to order this cute little book (it's only 5x5) for free (only had to pay shipping) ... i wasn't quite sure how it would turn out, but it's pretty cute. here's the cover & a few of the pages:





i also had re-ordered business cards & this time with my etsy store link on them. very exciting.

WELL!

i can't remember if i've mentioned it or not, but i am participating in the susan g. komen breast cancer walk in november. i will be walking 60 miles over 3 days with thousands of others. i've been training & working hard towards the fundraising (each walker must raise a minimum of $2300) ... well, while i was training with my team over the weekend we had a great idea! i am going to make some special PINK breast cancer dainty*s to sell (headbands & pins) ... all proceeds will go toward the walk! i have some pink satin ribbon already so i'm going ot be busy this week making headbands & then i also ordered some awesome ribbon online tonight that i can't wait to share! so keep your eyes peeled for that!

busy busy busy!

hi!

wow, i can't believe it's been this long since i last blogged! i guess i'm going to update in bullets today to make sure i get everything in.

-i got a very cute pink blackberry over the weekend! i am very excited because it means i can stay more connected to the online community while i'm running around (i spend so much of my time out and about). i'm hoping this will help me blog on the go, update the dainty facebook page, check emails & etsy, etc.

-the top secret order is officially completed, but i can't share what it is until later this month ... stay tuned!!!!

-dainty* will be at a few craft shows this fall!!! first, in a few weeks i'll be at the Adams Ave Street fair with my ladies from the Rare Hare art studio. come stop by & say hi! i am SO excited to be part of this. as soon as i have final details about the others i will make sure to post them!

-dainty* will be at the san diego polo club, thanks to a friend from high school, lindsey! i also am helping get some of my favorite local musicians play there, so far for sure jakob martin will be playing there on sep 27. i stopped by the polo fields over the weekend, which was a first for me (very silly since i grew up about 4 miles from the place!) and it was SO MUCH FUN! i can't wait to spread the word about this great sunday afternoon activity. it's totally kids/family friendly too! which is a huge plus.

-my best friend, alana, is a huge dainty* supporter, she's my #1 sales girl & i love these pics she snapped of the kids she works with wearing dainty*s. lots of love to TBALA USY!





-i had coffee with another family from my preschool class over the weekend ... here's a pic of me with gwenie and her little sister melina wearing their dainty*s:



-on saturday night we were at the house of blues for an awesome show ... 2 of my favorite ladies were wearing their dainty*s so of course i had to get a pic with them. also, rob deez, one of my closest friends & a very talented and hilarious musican/rapper/performer wore his special dainty* as a boutonniere. so dainty* had a very fun and successful debut at the house of blues! the pic of robby was taken on my blackberry so i'm kind of sad it's not that great quality.

caroline modeled the two dainty*s that i sent to her earlier last week ... one she purchased off of etsy and one was her belated birthday present ... she let me choose the colors & i am glad that she likes them!
