love!

well, i've been home from NOLA for a week and i still haven't gotten it together enough to do a re-cap post! sigh.

my friend, caroline, who i met up with, clearly is more together than i, and has posted a wonderful re-cap of our trip here. go check it out!

i'll tell you this, i absolutely fell in love with new orleans, and i am dreaming of a move in the near future. NOLA captured my heart. from the shops on magazine street, to the precious southern accents & hospitality, to the overwhelmingly present fleur de lis, to the die hard fandom for the saints, i embraced it, and loved every second of it. i am dreaming of owning my own little storefront on magazine street, going to grad school at tulane & eating snowballs all summer.

since getting back i've jumped right in to the application process for grad school (have i mentioned that i'm applying to go back to school?) ... well, i am. applications aren't the most fun thing in the world, but i hope to have mine complete before i go abroad in december with my family (have i mentioned the trip? oy, i seem to be quite behind.... i'll save that for another post).

so i'm here. i'm alive. and at some point soon i'll have more exciting things to share! hope you are all well in blog world.
