Pineapple Motifs Add a Slice of Hospitality

Call me old school, but I’ve always had something for that many classic of house design motifs: the pineapple. This showy fruit has represented hospitality for centuries, and for mepersonally, watching a cherry onto a lamp, wallpaper or planter at a house translates into a warm feeling of welcome that I can’t resist.

Even though some people dismiss pineapple designs as a portion of ’80s preparation, in truth they transcend trends. They’re especially large in the Southern U.S., where hospitality has been a point of pride, however there is no region or layout fashion with which they do not get along. From fabric to finials, they continue to show up in trendy new accents that match all kinds of decoration — check out the illustrations below.
